airports..... 1 destination.
The sun was shining brightly as we
headed to the Tulsa International Airport. It was already hot and
forecasters were predicting 105°
for the day...
Our flight was scheduled to leave Tulsa
for Chicago at 10:30am, and then connect to our flight to Frankfurt
at 3:30pm. Then a short flight to Nuremberg, and our trip should've
been done. But after our luggage was checked in, everything changed.
There wasn't even one single cloud in
the sky in Tulsa, but our flight to Chicago couldn't leave until it
came; and Chicago was basically shut down all day due to bad weather.
So we waited... ... ... seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours,
and hours to.... ok, that was lame.... :P
Our flight finally was able to leave at
3:15, which meant that we missed our next flight to Frankfurt.
Fortunately, they were able to hook us up with a flight to Paris, but
even that was delayed! We were about to take off when the storm hit.
So for 3 hours we were stuck on the runway, listening to the
lightening and watching the thunder. Thank God for movies.. ... ....
.... ... .....
We were going to have a 6 hour layover
in Paris, but since we were delayed 3 hrs in Chicago, and then in
Paris they didn't let us get off for another hour after we landed, we
didn't get to go anywhere... :/ but at least I can say that I went to
Paris.. .. .. .. .. :)
Then, after a short and uneventful
flight to Nuremberg, we found out that they didn't transfer our
check-ins with us. SO.... we didn't have any luggage other than our
carry-ons, until Wednesday evening.... lol
So yeah... that's basically all I have
time to write about now... I'll post some more pix when I can! :)

a lifesaver during 6 hr layovers.... lol
